MD4 compatibility issue

Hi team,
our product encounter a MD4 compatibility issue:

  1.  Sign a file with MD4 digest by openssl 1.0.2/1.1.1 library, then verify it by openssl 3.0.8 library, verify fail.
  2.  Sign a file with MD4 digest by openssl 3.0.8 library, then verify it by openssl 1.1.1 library, verify fail.
  3.  Sign a file with MD4 digest by openssl 3.0.8 library, then verify it by openssl 3.0.8 library, verify success.
Can you confirm?

By the way, can you give an example how to sign/verify with MD4 by openssl 3.0.8 command tool?
I try some commands and load legacy provider, but always show some syntax error.
