[openssl-dev] OpenSSL support of SHA 512/256 and SHA 512/224?

I would like to know if OpenSSL  and FIPS new versions (like OpenSSL 1.0.2g,
FIPS 2.0.12 etc.) support the *truncated versions of SHA 512 namely SHA
512/224 or SHA 512/256*. (Acknowledging that OpenSSL does support SHA 512)

I do not know the technical difference between SHA 512 and SHA 512/256
(except a vague conceptual overview that the initialisation vector would be
different for the truncated SHA 512/256 as compared to SHA 512 and that the
real hash length will be only 256 for SHA 512/256).

Or.... could it be assumed that an SHA 512 implementation has innate support
for the truncated version like SHA 512/256 ? And so, it does hold good for
OpenSSL too?
