[openssl-project] FYI: GitHub on our servers

That’s an excellent point. So perhaps we should now decide if we’re okay with private repo’s hosted on GitHub’s servers, since that is the only way to get free. On-prem is not free.

The plan for security use of this would be to give accounts to all the prenotification folks, so this would quickly become more expensive on a per-seat basis, hence I'd wait until we qualify for a free account.

Here’s the pricing summary.

A first try to get a free enterprise GitHub install failed. I got a sales call in response to my filling out a webform. Sorry, there was no time to bring in another OMC member.

If we did a private repo hosted on GitHub, it would cost $7/mo/person, or around 756/year (I assumed we’ll have another OMC member at some point.) Once we get 501c3 status, we could get the GH-hosted option with a private repository for free. If we want to self-host that’s GitHub enterprise it costs $21/user (minimum ten) and is billed annually, for $2500 a year. See the URL’s below.

Hi Rich,

Just left you a voicemail. I am following up on your Contact Request for OpenSSL and I'd love to connect before Wednesday (1/10). Let me know if you have time to chat on the phone, or if you would rather communicate via email thats perfectly fine as well.
