openssl-users Digest, Vol 100, Issue 43

It's been my experience with lists that people who don't wish to be on them, are extremely vocal to be taken off. If thus holds true I'd say a number of people glance at the list and if nothing catches their fancy, they delete.

You could always implement a 1 Year if no response, deletion policy.
