the discussions thing suffers the same fatal bugs as discourse: you
can only reply to existing threads; there is no address to start a new
one; there is no Re: on replies, so it is impossible to tell from the
Subject whether a note is new or a reply; quoting is fubar, it more
often looks like someone just wrote what they presumably see as quoted
text; ....

the only useful things gh does are keyed git/secsh and git/http/tls for
a ro clone.

utf8 nntp is best.  smtp is 2nd.  nothing else reasonable exists yet.
